Setting a Text Default ?Hi,

Re: Setting a Text Default ?Yes and no.
You can select any of the Text Styles built into the title adjustments panel, right-click on it and designate it as your default text. However you can't, as far as I can find, designate your own custom font and color as a default. 3.6 ghz i7-7700 running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with 16 gigs RAM and a 2 terrabyte HD. Re: Setting a Text Default ?Thank you Steve,
That's a shame but not unexpected. John [1] Sony RX100 M6 (PAL)

Re: Setting a Text Default ?But you could save a title and then edit that title every time you want to add one. Just create a Title template and use that in every project changing the text as needed but keeping your predefined font and color.

Re: Setting a Text Default ?Can you do this in your version of Premiere Elements?
You can save your style and set your style as default, among other things. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. Gateway DX4860-U28 i5-3300 Quad Core 3.0 GHz, Intel HD 2500 graphics, 8 Gb RAM; 1 TB 7200 RPM, 10 TB External, Windows 10 (x64).
Re: Setting a Text Default ?Thanks Chuck Engels and R J Johnson
Both suggestions work. With the 'Save style' option, it saves everything except the font size - unless I'm missing something. The 'Saving a Title' does the job, once I'd worked out how to save a title. Cheers John [1] Sony RX100 M6 (PAL)

Re: Setting a Text Default ?Ah - I've just found a problem with the 'Saving a Title' option.
I dragged a previous title down as suggested and edited the text. Seemed perfect but after I'd edited 6 I found that they had all changed to the text I'd entered in the last one. Maybe I'm doing something wrong (or stupid ![]() All I need is continuity with adding sub-titles without having to set the font attributes every time. None of the styles are suitable. If I edit and save a style as the Default I end up with the right font/colour etc but the size always defaults to 225 and I can't see a way of fixing it at 80. Any other suggestions please? Re: Setting a Text Default ?Hi John,
That's right, you can't just drag the same title down to the timeline and edit as it will just be a duplicate of the original and any changes you make will effect them all. Instead of dragging the same title from the media panel do this, right click on the Title in the project assets and select "Duplicate". That will add another title to the project assets that you can add to the timeline and make changes without effecting the original or any other copies. 1.
