Stop Marker Does Not Return to Main Menu

Postby kenskopp » Fri Nov 08, 2019 8:45 pm

Hi Gang,

I created a project with 41 minutes of work space. The project has 6 Slideshows of photos with a scene marker for each one. A scene marker was also placed before 18 video clips with the Stop Marker at the end. With the 7 inserted scene markers I used the News Reel Movie Menu. There is the Main Menu Screen and three Scene screens. The last Scene Screen has one scene marker for the video clips. The Stop Menu Marker does not return to the Main Menu. It starts over at the scene marker on the last screen. Therefore it is looping. I burned two DVDs because I thought maybe I did not put the stop marker at the end. What should I do? This has never happened before.

Thank,

Ken Skopp

When you say "a stop marker is at the end" do you mean at the end of each sequence or at the end of your movie?

You know you should NEVER put a stop marker at the end of your movie, right?

Hi Steve,

I eliminated the red stop marker. Everything works ok. I guess I am confused on when the Menu Marker and Stop Marker should be used.
Where can I find information on when and where to use Menu and Stop markers?

Menu/Chapter markers are used to put links to those locations in the video on a menu. When playing the video, and it comes to a stop marker, the video will stop and return to the menu. At the end of the movie the video will automatically return to the menu so no need for a stop marker there. That's about all there is to it really.
