The down side of those micro drones is that they only fly for 3 minutes so you end up needing a huge amount of battery's to have any fun.

Yes battery life is not so good. Also the use brushed motors so that can be a factor. Also due to the size it would have difficulties in wind. But that micro size and easy transportability is pretty tempting. Not sure what the camera is like.

If you are looking for a very inexpensive but great drone that is super small (not micro) I would suggest the Ryze Tello Drone. Approx $100 on Amazon.
