Vimeo use

Postby sadddletree » Mon Apr 13, 2020 11:57 pm

I generally use PRE 13 but we also have 15. Looking to upload video to Vimeo for sale so want good quality. Which is the ideal way and settings to export and share for Vimeo? Have the settings changed a lot since 13 or 15 came out?

In version 15, use Export & Share/Devices/Computer and select 1920x1080 MP4. (You'll find similar output settings in version 13.)

Thanks Steve. I know this makes for much larger file size than the Online/Vimeo settings. Does is now make a difference to the quality people get from Vimeo? They say they compress things down if it is too large. Thanks for your great advice.

I know with the Plus membership there is no compression, you can even post 4K video. Not sure about the free version however.

The free version of Vimeo does compress the upload. It saves the original upload for a certain number of days and then only the compressed version is saved.
