Premier Elements 15 - Fade in and Out

Postby devinftp455 » Wed Jul 26, 2017 3:34 pm

Hi,

I added a photo to the video in my timeline. I want to fade in and fade out of the photo. How do I slow down the fade in and also how do I speed up a fade out of the photo back to the video portion?

Thanks,

Devin

One more question. When you click on a photo and then select "Fade in and out". How do you go back later and turn off the "Fade in and Fade out" on the photo???

Thanks,

Devin

Hi Devin,

Have you watched the basic training videos? They are free and teach a lot of the basics like adding transitions.

Here is another free tutorial about working with transitions, this is part 1, part 2 is for subscribers only.

Fade In and Fade Out are actually keyframed animations of the Opacity property. As Chuck said, I show you what these keyframes look like in Part 4 of our free 8-part Basic Training tutorial series. (Chuck posted a link to the entire series above.)

To remove the fade in/out, you need to select and delete the little white dots (keyframes) on the Opacity rubber band, as discussed in that tutorial.
