PE 15 MOTI0N TRACKING

Postby john a » Wed May 31, 2017 4:49 pm

Hi Guys

When I try to add a piece of Motion Tracking to a clip I get the error message

The Media File seem to have an Invalid Entry in the Catalog
Please Rename It for Use.

I've looked it up in YOUR great book and on the online Help but can't find a reference

Of course I renamed some stuff and chased my digital tail back to the beginning.

What do I do ?

Hi Guys
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by going to the root of Organizer
I opened Organizer and the original file that I pulled the clip from is there.
That's as far as I got.
I'm very new at this and trying Motion Tracking the "THE END" would be a nice touch
to this little project

What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what is the format and resolution of the video?

When you add this video to your timeline, is there a yellow-orange 'render' line above the clip? If so, this indicates that the project settings do not match the clip's specs, and this may keep motion tracking from working.

Okay, "what kind of camera, resolution and format were used for these clips?"
Well, they were Black with Really Big Tapes.

This footage was taped, 15 years ago on my SONY CCD VX3 and three different CBC film crews over 3 years.

John A's Paleo Emporium was a big hit with the kids and attracted the press.

I finished my 8 minute little epic, titles and all and there are definitely a couple of different formats happening here.

Motion Tracking can wait for my next two tape transfer projects:
John A's Dinosaur Dig Adventures and Houseboats of Yellowknife Bay.

Now on to distribution, the forced viewing by friends and family.

As always,
Thanks for being there MUVIPIX
