Can I burn an Audio CD from PrEl 15 Project?

Postby boogieted » Mon Apr 10, 2017 7:02 pm

I'm using Premiere Elements 15 for Mac. I am editing a project that is actually audio ONLY, and I'd like to burn it back to an audio CD when i'm finished. I didn't see any share presets for this, and I"m just wondering if there's a way to do it.

It would be ok if I had to burn it to DVD because i'll be using a DVD player to listen to it anyway (machine will play all discs). It would be good, though, if I could set track numbers for each piece of music in the project. For this, should I use menu markers (scene markers) and give each scene a number instead of a name?

I look forward to responses. Thanks.

It's really not what Premiere Elements is designed to do, so it's certainly not the best tool for the job.

I'm not sure what to recommend for doing this on a Mac. But programs like Magix's Sound Forge (or Sony Sound Forge, if you don't mind an older version) include tools for doing exactly what you want.

It's likely these programs do too -- although I've not used them so I don't know for sure.

I would export the audio from Premiere Elements and then burn it to a disc using iTunes.

You can use iTunes to burn the audio CD, but it won't prepare the tracks. For that, I would recommend that you use the MAC version of the free Audacity utility. Here are some Audacity articles that will help you: burning_music_files_to_a_cd and splitting_a_recording_into_separate_tracks
