Please put me in the drawing. My system is a new quad core i7 HP4800 Envy laptop. I have older version Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4.Will these work on Windows 8.1? Do you recommend and upgrade to version 11 or 12 ? Advise please. Thanks. dmt

Welcome to Muvipix, Dawn -- but this drawing was nearly a year ago, so we've already given away the books.

As for Premiere Elements 4/Photo Elements 6, it's certainly worth trying to install them on Windows 8. Windows is notoriously backwards compatible and, worst case, you should be able to set the to run in XP compatible mode.

Though with that new computer, you may want to consider an upgrade! Newer versions of Premiere Elements are designed to take advantage of more advanced 64-bit operating systems as well some of the newer high-def video formats (including smartphone and iPad video).

The drawing for the books was nearly a year ago, Denandannie.

But welcome to Muvipix regardless! Glad to have you join our little community.
