Hello,
I've used to play a lot with adobe premiere pro cs4 presets to find a one that keep a good quality with a good acceptable small size for my video files.
Most of the time quality is not what I am looking for and size is a bit more then what I want.
Few days ago and by accident I've found an application or a converter to be more specific that enable you to convert from various formats to each others and vice versa.
It is Format Factory.
The key point for me in this converter is the .rmvb converter...
Here is what happened with me:
I am recording some TV shows from my Truman Premier 1 Receiver and it is in high definition and in a .mpeg format.
Later on I am using it with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and exporting the video with .avi preset one.
Result for a 25 minutes with .mpeg one is 468 MB.
Result with .avi after Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 for the same 25 minutes is 5200 MB.
Converting .avi to .rmvb using the Format Factory converter is about 256 MB in high definition, and if reducing the frame per second to something like 256 it is going down to 56 MB size.
So give this application a try and you won't regret it especially if you are like me uploading video to YouTube website which is accepting the .rmvb.
