Timeline Display

Postby Walter Seaton » Sat Apr 11, 2020 6:26 pm

Personal matters have kept me away from this, my only hobby, but I am now back and running into silly problems in Premiere Elements 14. Here is my current one. I assemble most of my projects on the timeline by importing .avi files from my PC. When I play previously assembled projects they display in the timeline with images of each frame. However, when I now import .avi files in exactly the same way, only a thumbnail of the head and tail of each clip is displayed, with a blue area in between. The video display style button no longer works as before. Now it has a different function - it either shows or hides the video, nothing else. I am so accustomed to finding the location within a sequence by searching through the frames in the timeline that this situation is a major handicap for me. How can I revert to the earlier function? And yes, I first carefully checked through your Guide to Premiere Elements 14 before writing this request.
