Grouping clips

Postby John Walker » Thu Dec 27, 2018 2:44 pm

Seasons Greetings

Any suggestions for grouping clips for editing and later entering on the timeline?

I have a project with 200+clips covering an event. I want to group clips relating to specific aspects of the day but were taken as the day progressed.

They are all in the Project Assets folder but all over the place.

Hopefully I have made my question clear :-k

Regards
John

Hi John,

One way to do this is to open the folder with all of the clips and sort them by creation date/time. Then create folders for each segment or group and move those files that apply to individual folders. Then you can import the folders into Premiere Elements. You may also want to create a separate project for each segment and just import the folder that applies to that segment. You can put them all together in the end. This is kind of how I do it for wedding videos.

Thank you Chuck

That seems to be the way to go.
