Elements 14

Specific to Premiere Elements version 14

Elements 14

Postby the1inzion » Sat Jul 15, 2017 7:44 pm

Let me start from the top. When I first purchased Premiere elements 14, I was using Windows 8.1. The program ran flawlessly as I burned a few DVDS of my stepsons wrestling matches and football games. I eventually upgraded to Windows 10. Since then I have had problems with the software. I have tried troubleshooting in various ways to no avail. This includes updating drivers, uninstall/reinstalling, using another user account on my laptop, and burning various DVDS with short limited success. The problem is that when I try to export (using various methods available ), the program freezes, then crashes while encoding. I am at my wits end. Please help before my laptop becomes twisted plastic and metal.

If you've updated drivers (from the manufacturer's web sites) and uninstalled/reinstalled the software, I'm not sure what to recommend. If the problem is your Windows 10 update, that usually resolves it.

You've got a pretty low end processor for video editing. It rates an 1800 on this benchmark and we usually recommend at least a 5000.

But if it's worked in the past for you, I'm not sure why it's not working now.

Though it might help if you're a bit more specific. Just saying that the software doesn't work or that you've have all kinds of problems doesn't give us much to work with.

What specifically happens when you do what, specifically?
