Recommendations for a reliable but simple back-up program

All programs on C: Drive

Project data held on large Internal D: drive and backed up on large External Drive E: Drive.

I had been successful and reliably using Seagates own back-up program that came with the external drive. It's quite and old program and doesn't recognise Seagate external Drives under Win 10.

So now looking for a basic back-up program that will back up and auto delete files that are deleted in the source drive. Prefer to choose when to back up manually and don't need loads of bells and whistles (or a learning curve)

There is a free version but for more flexibility you will need to consider the paid for version.

I have been using this (paid for) software for about three years now and have no complaints at all. Help and support standards are exemplary. Recommended.

+1 for Macrium's excellent, free backup program, Reflect!

Remember that windows 10 comes with a couple of options built in. Firstly the simple no nonsense backup program from windows 7 that will make an "image" of your PC in case of data loss and will also (if it works like 7) allow you to use system restore from that in case of corruption. There's also file history built in in case you change/delete the wrong thing.

Thanks for all advice. I have gone for the 'paid for' Macrium prog. Just working out how to set it up.

My previous back-up programs have been file based so need to understand this one before I set it in motion.

Plenty of tutorials on the Macrium website to help you out and, if really stuck, send them an email. They normally respond very quickly.
