Zoom to a corner

Postby sadddletree » Tue Aug 22, 2017 4:15 pm

I'm back... :)

Is there a transition that has a picture come into the middle of the frame and then zoom to a corner and stay there so a second picture can to the same and till I fill all four corners? Trying to get fancy here and I'm just not finding it.

No.

But you can probably create one using several tracks of video with Crop effects keyframed on each.

It's a pretty complicated effect -- so it can be done, but it would take a lot of high level work.

Keyframing this would not be hard I don't think. Each image is 1/4 of the screen, after all 4 images go to their corners you see all 4 images on one screen, correct?

Do you know anything about keyframing? If not we can give you some help.

Key framing is the easiest way to do this.

What has worked for me in the past is write down on paper what the coordinates of the beginning location and the final location once it is key framed. Write down the final locations area numbers are so that you can enter the location number in the key frame. Once you have the first key frame completed you can copy and past the effect to each reaming 3 videos. Then just replace the final destination with the location area you have determined.

Something that might work and be a little easier than keyframing, you will need to play around with it a little, is the Effect Presets for PiP.

Thanks for the answers. No, I haven't done anything with keyframing yet, so |'ll do some reading in the book on that. I know the coordinates I need to get four pictures on the screen properly, so maybe it won't be that hard.

I will also check out the PiP thing. I found that in the book too.

Thanks for the direction! I'll come back if I need more questions answered.
