Missing DVD Templates?

Postby videogeorge » Sun May 07, 2017 7:33 pm

I had to do a reinstall of PE 13 and it looks like I lost a couple of DVD templates from the Movie Menu. Is there a way to download or unlock them to get them back? Is there an update I have to install? Thanks!

In version 13, the Movie Menu templates download as you need them.

Are the templates still listed among available templates -- and do they have a little blue flag over the upper right corner?

I'm trying to get clear on what you mean by "lost" and what exactly was lost.

Hi Steve, What I realized was that the "missing" templates were those that I imported from an earlier version of Elements - so when I reinstalled they were gone because they're not part of version 13 to begin with. I followed the instructions again on how to take a DVD Template from an earlier version but I don't have the "Program Data" folder. Maybe it's because of Windows 10, I don't know. Anyway I copied and pasted the 2 files from the earlier version into the new version and it appears there but it overwrote an existing template. I'm sure it's because I don't have the "downloaded.txt. file. That's where I'm stuck. How do I get the downloaded.txt. file into the folder when it doesn't appear anywhere else where I can copy and paste it?

This post explains where the DVD templates are stored in version 13. It also tells you where to get the Downloaded.txt file.

Thanks Steve. The problem I had is that the Program Data folder is hidden in Windows 10. Once I was able to find it and make it visible the path opened up. Thanks for your help once again!
