Steve I have used Power Director 10, 11 and 12. I pick 10 out a few years ago because of the price back then for a 64 bit software back then. A good YouTube channel is PDtoots. There is about 7 people who work on the tutorials. I have talk to a few of them on Cyberlink forum.

I'm part of the MVP program. They do a video conference with the MVP four times a year. To see what we think needs to be address and show us what is new in the next version and how it works. I still play with it and use it some. After starting to learn Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 I like it a lot. One of the cool things that added to PD 12 was the multicam edit like Premiere Pro has. But it only does 4 cameras.

I agree, Mike. That multicam tool is unheard of in a consumer editing program!
