Sea Lions

Headed out to the ocean last week and got a chance to see the Sea Lions all congregating on the breakers before sunset. Even the Coast Guard was closing up shop.

Close up and personal!! Looked like one was going to bite your camera. Was that the super moon in the opening clip?

I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff. Nicely done Sidd! We watched sea lions off the coast of Washington state in a similar group while traveling the coast highway nearly 20 years ago. Spent probably an hour amazingly close-up, plus annoying starfish and other marine life (nothing was harmed). Thanks for posting!

Thank you Steve. I had my camera attached to a monopod and hung it over the side. These animals were huge and I was afraid that one swipe of the camera and good by ....

No super moon just a reflection of the sun.. lol

Nice, steady filming, Sidd. They do look huge.

My chihuahua heard all the barking and had to see... so we watched together. We both enjoyed it!

Thanks Paz. I am glad you both liked it. It was pretty amazing to see how big these creatures are. The Coast Guard is directly opposite where the Sea Lions hang out so I was expecting the Coast Guard to come over and tell me to knock it off.
