GoPro Zipline

My daughter wore the chest mount for the GoPro. The first zip the camera was pointed straight out and didn't take into account that you lean back during the zip. She adjusted it for the other zips.

No way. I could do the zip line, I think. It's the getting up there that would do me in. That spiral staircase would scare me into cardiac arrest, as would the wooden bridge with no sides on it. Enjoyed watching from the couch. :-D

Wow Cheryl. The foot shots are improving! At around 1.06 there is a new feature. Knees!! :-5

Looks like great fun but I am with Dave - OK to look at but most likely not for me. ;)

The staircase was a killer per my husband. He thought there were about 100 steps and then add the weight of the gear hanging from the waist. My daughter made sure she was first up the stairs. She did the tour a month before at night and got stuck behind slow, older people....she went with a group of 30yo's from church. She is into running and did her first 1/2 marathon in the spring so in very good shape. The stairs are 1/2 way through the tour. They were driven back to the building for a quick break before heading up the stairs.

There were 2 bridges on the tour and a few more zip runs not shown. The footage was about 2 hours long and I whittled it down to a 40 min project. Lots of dead time waiting for each person in the group from tower to tower. Some towers were very small and there was footage of a person's back.

When I packed my GoPro for the trip, I had the older case that accommodates the BacPac LCD screen. I quickly grabbed an extra case that is for the 3+ only with no BacPac. Got down there and realized I grabbed the underwater case instead of the skeleton case. That is why the audio is muffled. I've since organized my gear and labeled into zip bags with bubble wrap.

I still prefer feet over knees. :-D If I shot my husband's knees you would see his matching scars from knee replacements. The newest knee came in handy for the stairs.

WOW that was exceptionally cool. I loved it. The staircase climb and bridge walk made me knees weak just watching. If I was not so scared I would love to do that. With me I would expect to have an errant branch pop out and smack me as I zipped by. :) As I turn around I see that it was Dave holding the branch smiling.....

I love to see Dad of Duty in the mix. He has pizzazz. A natural. It would be fun to see a compare and contrast of "old Dad" not into having his face in the camera to "photobomb Dad"

Great work Mom. The zip line looked really cool. And the GoPro is the perfect camera to get the job done. I have made the "wrong cover" for my camera all the time.

Dad off duty has always been outgoing, but camera shy. Now I have created a camera hog. Recently I was taking photos at an extended family picnic. He bombed away! Good thing I have PS. I knew he had bombed a few, but thought I had got a good shot of this family. Enlarged there are artifacts to my clone & copy/paste job, but they printed out great.

Do I dare say I'm a Dad fan.... :)

And yes Dave I would expect you to be able to look innocent so people thought I was just being a big chicken.
