Mom off Duty and the Walking Foot of Doom

Talk about the "World's Most Versatile Camera™" here.

Mom off Duty and the Walking Foot of Doom

Postby sidd finch » Sun Jun 29, 2014 4:07 pm

In the beginning we had the picture. Everything was fine until Ken Burns got his cameras on it and we witnessed the birth of a new medium. Enter After Effects and we saw the "Son of Ken Burns" give 2D a 3D feel. Years passed and Mom off Duty now gives us the foot. I hybrid of the low mount and the foot in action. Podiatrists everywhere wept with joy at the invention of this new camera angle. So in honor of the 3rd generation camera style I like to call "Ken Burns 4th cousin twice removed"...... The Mom off Duty shot:

Wow! Why did it have to end so soon? I was just settling in. I want to see the Director's Cut. :-5

Oh Dear! Love it!! You've taken it to the next level with the slow motion and setting sun. :yh: :-5 I may have to pilfer some of those shots!

I love it too! It's not just a gimmicky shot, it's a fascinating composition!

Thank you for the kind words.

Mom feel free to pilfer away. The video is short because in some of the shots you can see my feet in the shot which looks like Sasquatch trying to maul something. :)

I did try to sync the movements with the audio and it turned out pretty cool. No to Evangelize the GoPro but the camera has a real nice "auto function that makes the footage look pretty cool in a direct sunlight shot. I got some cool slo-mo of the ocean waves which I will post in a bit.

Yes, it really worked out well. That can be the difference between a mediocre video and a great one.

Hmmm...so the video isn't a selfie of you walking on the beach?? :conf: ;)
The sync was right in sync. :-D Do you ever turn on low light mode? That is on my research list.

Thank you Peru.

Mom I think the low-light has to have Protune on. I am going to double check on that. I would love to say those are my feet...but then you would ask why do I have a dress on? I would say dress...no its a kilt then Ron would lock me out.

A kilt wouldn't be so bad. Now Capris are a different thing entirely. :)

AGGGGGG the Capris..... There would be no need to induce that kind of self directed laughter.

This just screams WRONG....

Edit: Did someone say capris???? :-D Now if they had a guy's feet wearing capris in the ad then maybe I could overlook the pilfering.
