Hummingbird

Postby sidd finch » Sat Jun 28, 2014 9:14 am

Well finally after long last I was able to record one of our hummingbirds feeding. It took a couple of weeks for the Hummingbird to discover their new feeder. But, once discovered the birds are pretty routine. They stop by at about 5:30 for happy hour for some hummingbird libations and in less than 30 seconds they are out and about. Recorded in 720P at 120 fps.

::CLAP: These little guys never cease to amaze me. Even at 120 fps the wings are a blur. Really cool.

Great capture of the hummingbird. Did you operate the camera via remote when the bird made his appearance?

No Mom, I set the camera up and pressed record and walked away. The bird showed up approx. 1/2 hour into the recording.
