Talk about the "World's Most Versatile Camera™" here.

I recently bought a Dive Housing for my HD Hero 2 GoPro and we tried it out this week in our swimming pool. Supposedly the Dive Housing has a lens that produces better quality images than the case the camera came with.
I am amazed by the great colors and picture detail the camera captured! I love the underwater shots!
I shot the footage in 720/60 and edited it in Final Cut Pro X. Audio is from Jamenco.com. Let me know what you think!

How refreshing! Does the boxer get to swim in the pool too?

He seems scared of the water but we hope he will jump in soon.

The boys said it wasn't cold That looks like great fun! I especially like the way you've edited jumps above to flow below the water.

The GoPro 2 has a problem with the waterproof case that comes with the camera. The curved lens of the waterproof housing doesn't allow the camera to focus underwater and all resulting footage is blurry. The solution is that the housing must have a flat lens.

Great fun Ron! Was that Joey the Boxer? I think you have 2 boxers? The underwater shots looked clear.

Thanks everyone! And thanks Sidd for the explanation of why there is a difference in video quality between the included waterproof case and the "dive housing". It is my understanding that the latest GoPros "come" with a dive housing as part of the package, which is nice because you then won't have to drop $60 on the dive housing like I did. Actually, now that I think about it, that makes the current GoPros a better value. And their ability to shoot 120p isn't bad either. Here's a tip for anyone who has a dive housing for their GoPro; don't rinse out the inside of the unit! Since our pool is saltwater and since the instructions indicated it is important to keep salt from building up on the unit, I rinsed it inside and out (without camera, of course). Turns out you should only rinse the outside of the unit. It took a while for all the water inside the unit to evaporate. At first I thought I had damaged the unit but all is well, I used it yesterday to film a Mother's Day pool party. And yes, we only have one boxer, but Joey is more than enough for us!!

The silica packets that come with some items are an outstanding way to absorb any moisture inside the case. I also use them in the winter to absorb and moisture.
