Macro Ants

Postby sidd finch » Thu Jan 16, 2014 8:55 am

I was in the backyard and noticed that even in winter the ants are out in force. I thought this would be a good time to see how well that macro lens works. I ended up plugging the camera into an external monitor so I could see what I was trying to capture.

Winter in "Cyberspace" treats you differently than it does in Ohio. :) No ants out and about here. Enjoyed this macro shoot as always, and the music was spot-on!

Dave in Cyberspace you just need the weather app so you can pick the temperature that you like. Thanks to our friends from global warming we are experiencing record high temps.

Mom I am using 25mm to 37 mm lens adaptor on the GoPro with a macro lens to catch the action.

Great video Sidd! I may have to look into that macro lens for my GoPro.

I'm gonna have to talk to the wife. We just might have to consider moving to Cyberspace. It's gotta be cheaper than Florida would be. :-k

It's amazing how a good choice of music and some well done videography can make an everyday occurrence so entertaining. :TU:

Thank you. I have been using the music from Killer Tracks and I really like their stuff. They seem to offer the mood music I am looking for. BTW Dave, I love Alfred E Neuman....sadly cyberspace is in the cloud so you have to pay a subscription fee. The old version was free but you had to live in the location of the weather that you liked. It seems like life is always a trade off. :)

Mom the lens I used was an inexpensive one I got from amazon that I originally purchased for my Flip Camera for approc $20 USD. I also got a 25mm to 37mm lens ring

Very cool Sidd...You really have a knack for this. Cheryl will have a tough challenge when she gets going with her GoPro...Capturing just the tiny feet of ants won't be easy.

A challenge...hmmm. :-k Oh, nah, I concede to Sidd the master of all things macro. I haven't used my GoPro yet, but did manage to get the dang thing out the box and update the firmware.
