Summer of Collaborative video users of GoPro

Postby momoffduty » Mon Nov 18, 2013 3:00 pm

A community on FB put together footage from its users from around the world. A summer's worth of GoPro video. It is long for an internet video, 15 minutes. Worth the watch of every minute.

Some video ideas for maybe your future projects:

Pretty cool video, Cheryl. Thanks for sharing. I'm tempted to get a GoPro, but my life is not that adventurous. What would I be filming? :conf:

Cheryl, now you are just trying to tempt me..... I'm thinking Humming birds :TU:

First I need a usable tripod.

To tempt you even further, Gerlinde, Best Buy has a great price on this Hero3 Black Edition... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/gopro-hd-hero3-black-edition-action-camera-black/6571689.p?id=1218757813679&skuId=6571689
the doorbuster price (starts at 6pm on Thanksgiving) is 249.99 (though the link I've included indicates the current price of 329.99

i'm thinking you could get a nice start on a usable tripod with the savings!!

That door buster is the Black Edition 3 and NOT the 3+. The 3+ price is about $399.

The 3+ also seems to have some focal issues related to the lens.

From the GoPro forum:
When you compare the 2 cameras, despite the lens being obviously better on the 3+, and it is, the 3+ is razor sharp from 6 inches to about 4ft, and after 4ft the older 3 seems sharper.

It seems that this focus is because most folks record them self. I on the other hand am more interested in filming my surroundings than capturing my own image in my surroundings. :)

imagine....the table is set everyone is ready to enjoy the meal then oooops..... Gerlinde says "one minute folks while I turn on my new GoPro I bought this morning at 1:00 am." Everyone cheers.....this is the best Thanksgiving ever...... :yh: :-5 :exc: :fg:

Gerlinde, instead of using a pole extension at dinner, get an egg timer that Sidd posted and shoot a Thanksgiving meal timelapse.
