Tree, in that case I would use the sticky tape to adhere the tripod removable clip to the top of the egg timer then place your camera and sticky tape to adhere the bottom of the egg timer to the top of your tripod.

Glad it helped Tree. The last one I forgot to add was the GoPro turned on yourself with a monopod. This makes walking around with the camera really easy to do and you can get some cool shots too.

Sidd, don't you have to get the GoPro tripod mount to use on a monopod? I think they are about $10.

Mom, they have a tripod mount and a bicycle mount. I use the bicycle mount so that the weight of the camera at the small end of the monopod balances better than trying to hold the small end of the monopod with all the weight on the other end.

Amazon has GoPro tripod mounts for around $5. They aren't the "official" ones but they look like they will work.
Desktop: HPE-580T, i7-950 (3.07GHz), 16GB RAM, Win'7 64-bit Home Premium, PSE12/PRE12, Lightroom 5.
Laptop: MacBook Pro (retina), 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5.
Cameras (in use): Panasonic GH4/Canon HFR400/Canon HV30, GoPro HD Hero2.

Thanks Ron, I purchased one of those for $5 and it works well. Makes it nice to attach to my other stands I have.
