Where do I find and install Movie Menu templates?

Postby kenskopp » Thu May 26, 2016 10:29 am

Hello Steve,
I attempted to download "Drive in Movie" DVD Menu Template. All that I was able to extract was two psd files. In PRE12, I went to add DVD template. It was under Entertainment but it was attempting to do something since little circle was chasing it self. I had downloaded NTSC format.

What did I do incorrectly

Did you download the correct version Ken? There are three downloads, the first two are for version 2 and the last is for version 3 and above.

Be sure to download this one.
Item : Drive In DVD Template
File: Drivein2v3.zip
Size: 1.75 MB

Next, you need to put it in the proper folder. Have you installed DVD templates from Muvipix before? If not be sure to watch the free tutorials (be sure to watch the newer one);

The PSD files should be pretty much all you need, Ken.

But did you follow the instructions above precisely? As I said, if you don't follow every step, the program will reject the template.

Hi Steve,

I followed the DVD Menu Tutorial. The I created the "MUVIPIX Download" folder in the folder with the rest of the movie DVD Movie Categories. I then opened a project and selected Tools then Movie Templates. I found my MUVIPIX folder and then selected Drive in Menu. The box appeared with little circle chasing itself. What did I miss? Also do you still need "Download.txt" file. I also noticed the other folders had a "Metadata" file. I added the "Download.txt" file to the other menu template folders. I notice some had the file already and all the folders had the "Metadata" file.

The only files that should be necessary are the .psd files and the download.txt file. Although it could be that this older template won't work with newer versions of the program.

I'll test drive it when I have a chance to see.

Meantime, I'm breaking this discussion off to a separate thread so that it's not a part of the forum's "sticky".

Hi, Ken. I just tested the template and it works just fine.

Do make sure that you've downloaded the template file DriveIn2v3.zip. That's the only one that will work with version 12.

Hi Steve,

I am not sure if I did anything different. The DVD Menu "Drive-in" works fine.

Thank you
