My video; ready for dl

Ok, I've finally finished the first day of the video I've been on here, for weeks, with how to and why questions!

I took my good friend Alma; who turned 96 yesterday, on this cruise and if you watch this and wonder why "a table for two" it's because she had a stroke 10 years ago and she's aphasic. I didn't want to put her in the uncomfortable position where people would be trying to engage her in conversation.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this effort; without your support it would never have been accomplished :TU:

I think you've created a very nice memento, Mike! Good job!

I especially liked the part with the red dot wandering through the map of the ship and the little photo pop-ups shows what was in each area.

Thoroughly enjoyed it! Never been on a cruise but have always been amazed at the photos and video that I've seen of these ships. And as for the time you spent, only someone who has done hobbyist video editing can appreciate what it takes to get some of these details just right. Nice job. :TU:

Hi Mike, seems something very interesting on your completed movie, moving red dot.
Could not play your attached video even signed in ad a member. Any suggestions which programs might allow me to watch it?

It's a WMV; Windows Media, file. It will play on a Windows Media Player but if your on a MAC you might have problems playing it.

G'Day Mike,
I was impressed with your video.
An excellent idea, which was well thought out and executed. =D>
But, shouldn't the one red dot have been two red dots. There were two of you. :)
When are we going to see day 2?

Peace,
John P.

Thanks :) It was my first serious effort and I too was very pleased with the outcome; if I do say so myself

houldn't the one red dot have been two red dots. There were two of you.
 it was all I could do to manage one! :ha:

Not sure. I've been testing Power Director, which is taking up some time and if I use it for day 2 it will probably take longer to workout.

It was a very engaging video... you did a good job. I've always wanted to take a cruise but I have to wait until I win the lottery!

Thanks :-D Cruises can be fun; for the very old. I did this cruise for my 92 year old friend; and it was like being in a very grand senior center; walkers and W/C everywhere, and crowded elevator lobbys!

Great job Mike! I don't know how I missed seeing it until now. The narration moved it along and the red dot gave reference to the photos. Great job keyframing that dot! :TU:
