How to reduce part of Audio file to use in Menu

Postby robbie410 » Wed May 14, 2014 8:21 am

Hi, I would like to take a short part of an audio clip and use as Audio in the Video Menu. I have put the audio clip onto a Audio Timeline, reduced the size to the recommended seconds, but cannot copy and then paste somewhere to be able to put into the Video menu, via the Audio Browse button.
If I cannot do it within the project how should I proceed. I have the clip in Project Assets, can I get somewhere from trying to edit in Project assets?

If you've trimmed the audio file in Premiere Elements, you can output that trimmed file using Publish & Share/Computer/Audio File. Then you can use the WAV file the program outputs as your menu background.

Hi Steve, was being a little ambitious now starting to add my own music to Video Theme Menu. So simple though when you know how. I was already looking at a program Audacity, but did not download. Your proposal, as always, would seem to be the best.
Do I ned to highlight the audio track, which I have on Audio track above project, before Publish & Share/computer/Audio File. It is the only audio file on the project line.

Nope. As long as it's trimmed the way you want it, just output the audio file.

Steve, worked well on second try. Able to insert into video theme menu, which was what I wanted.
Then disaster, see separate string.
