Two main video menus from project

Postby robbie410 » Fri May 09, 2014 6:44 am

Is there another tutorial on creating more than one main Video Menu from within a project before burning to DVD? I have downloaded
"st-DVD Menus" but cannot open it. I am looking for more tutorials if they are somewhere on Muvipix site. I would like to first split a project into two, then create each with its own Main Video Menu and scenes. After the first Split that its returns to the menu and you can chose the second split from the menu. Each Split should contain scene markers. Is this possible?

I think you can only have one main menu. Use that main menu to choose between the two videos and then use submenus.

Peru is right.

You can add a Stop Marker between the two movies and the disc will return to the main menu page at both this stop marker and at the end of the movie -- making it appear that you have two separate movies, even though they're actually both on the same timeline.

If you're looking to do something a bit more complicated, you may want to look into DVD Architect Studio 5 (which we also offer tutorials and books for on this site), which you can program to do some very sophisticated menus with several levels and "trees" of menu pages.

Thanks Steve, I think I will stop with the Stop Marker option.

OT - Robbie410, you sent an email asking about subscriptions to the forum and I responded, but the return email was invalid and bounced.

In any event, go ahead and ask the question here at the forum.
Regards,
-Ron

Ron, I knew immediately, after I sent the email, that I had entered a comma instead of a full stop in the email address, sorry.
Problem of not receiving notifications, of updates to strings in Pre12, seems to have solved itself.
