The Muvipix.com Guide to Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17

Postby Steve Grisetti » Tue Jun 09, 2020 7:20 am

We're pleased to announce our latest book, "The Muvipix.com Guide to Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17."

Magix has added some cool, new features to its already feature-packed video editing program. Among the new feature set is a screen capture tool for making tutorials and recording your game play, a tool for smoothing slow motion playback and a tool for tracking moving objects with custom-created masks.

We'll show you how to:
* Get video from your tape-based, hard drive or even flash-based camcorder into your video project
* Build a timeline, and how to trim, split, arrange and composite the clips you add to it
* Add custom effects, transitions and music, then make your video look like a Hollywood movie with new AutoLooks*
* Use the cool, new Multicam Editor to create a professional cut of an event from several video sources
* Edit 3D and 360° VR movies
* Use the cool, new Bezier mask and Motion Tracker
* Use the new Slow Motion and Warp Flow effects and the very cool Screen Recorder
* Use the Chroma Keyer effect to make a person look like he or she is in any real or imaginary location
* Upload your videos directly to Vimeo and YouTube
* Prepare your videos for output as a DVD and BluRay disc

Is the Muvipix.com Guide to MSP 18 in the works? I'm sure I would benefit from 17, but just having upgraded to 18, I was wondering...
Thanks Steve!

There is a Vegas Pro 18, but at this time there is no Vegas Movie Studio 18.

If Magix follows its usual release schedule, we would like see VMS 18 in February or March and, when it is release, you can be sure we'll release a Muvipix Guide to it.

Right, I knew that :conf:

I've since started to use the Vegas Pro versions and I understand that 18 has features I would use. I'll keep an eye peeled for the upcoming Muvipix.com VMS revision Steve.

Big fan of your helpful Vegas guides...just wondering if they have been indefinitely put on the back burner.

The VEGAS Movie Studio product line and DVD Architect have been discontinued.
The new Movie Studio 18 and current Movie Studio 2022 products from MAGIX (the parent company of VEGAS) are based on a totally different product developed from the MAGIX team.
The only updates and upgrades from VEGAS will be for the VEGAS Pro product line.

VK is correct, of course. Magix has swapped a completely different product into their line and are calling it Movie Studio, although it is totally unrelated to the previous product. We have elected not to support new products in this line.
