Camcorder Question

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 11.

When you create a new project, click the Settings button on the New Project panel. This will open up the panel from which you can select a project settings preset.

Are you still working with video from your JVC or are you editing video from your Sony cam now? That will determine which project settings you select.

If this is AVCHD video from your Sony, remember that version 10 does not offer AVCHD settings for 1080p, so you'll need to shoot video for this version of the program in 1080i.

I was using the video from the Sony camcorder and trying it in version 10 and if it doesn't support it that is probably the reason why I can see the video in the program.

What camera settings were you using to record your test footage?

I think the problem may be the mode you set the AX2000 to record. If you set the camera to record in one of the AVCHD 2 supported modes you will only be able to edit it in Premiere Elements 11. Premiere Elements 10 was released prior to the release of the AVCHD 2 specification and does not support it.

I'm not sure on what mode it was set it, I will have to ask the owner and see. I will just put the project together in version 11
