Creating a Camera Flash Effect

Creating a Camera Flash EffectI have photos periodically inserted over a movie with the camera click sound effect as if the picture is being taken at that instant. What is the easiest way to create a white camera flash effect for a split second when the photo first appears?
Re: Creating a Camera Flash EffectI've used just a few frames of white color matte placed in a track above the photo. You can play with the opacity so that it doesn't completely obscure the photo if you like that look better. You can also keyframe a few frames so that the flash fades out instead of just on-off. Play around to find the look you like best.
Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: Creating a Camera Flash EffectFrom a post by Maxine370 (aka Beth) from some time ago:-
"Simulate a flash with the brightness and contrast effect. Place keyframes at the start point with both the brightness and contrast set at the maximum (100 for each). Then move the CTI a few frames and add keyframes that reset back to 0.0 on both (reset button is quickest way to do this)."
