Save Edited Clips To Be Used LaterI am using Premiere Elements 11 on a Mac. Can I edit one clip or a series of clips in the timeline, then save it/them in the Organizer to be used later? I would like to work on one section of my video at a time rather than have ALL of it on the timeline at once. Is that possible?
Re: Save Edited Clips To Be Used LaterThe simple answer is yes.
Once you have finished making your edits use the export function for the edited clip and save it so that it is available for re-use. Sorry, I cannot guide you through the exact steps as I am not a PrEl user. AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.
Re: Save Edited Clips To Be Used LaterDo you plan to use your finished video clips in a high-def or a standard definition video project?
As I say in my books, that will determine what format you output your finished segments as. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Save Edited Clips To Be Used LaterI will be adding AVCHD video from my camera also, and I'll be creating a DVD at the end. Like I said, I'm new, but I think that means it will be high-def. If the project is widescreen, does that mean it is high-def?
Re: Save Edited Clips To Be Used LaterTo output editable AVCHD segments, use Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with the preset for M2T 1920x1080 30i.
Though do note that your finished DVD will, of course, NOT be hi-def video. DVDs are, by nature, 720x480 -- so don't expect the detail and clarity in your final DVD that you have in your original footage (though it still should look very good).
