Blu-ray with Premiere Elements 10 vs. 11

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 11.

Blu-ray with Premiere Elements 10 vs. 11

Postby MyronMBA » Wed Aug 28, 2013 1:18 pm

Whenever I attempt to create and burn a Blu-ray disk with Premiere Elements 10, the application ultimately crashes and automatically reboots my computer!

This always happens with longer projects such as a 60-minute production.

Has this issue been fixed in Premiere Elements 11?

Hi, Myron. Welcome to Muvipix.

There have been no major improvements I know of in the way version 11 creates BluRay discs -- so you may need to troubleshoot your computer.

What operating system are you using? What processor and how much RAM do you have? How much free, clean, defragmented space is on your hard drive?

What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is it? When you started your project, which project settings did you select? If you selected the correct project settings for your project, you will NOT see red lines above your clips when you add them to your timeline in Timeline mode. Is that the case with your project?

I'd also like to know if you have problems exporting to a folder rather than directly to disc, and if you have any problems exporting other formats.

This problem can be as simple as a blank space on the timeline or a firmware update for your Bluray burner.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
