Use of After Effects with Pre Ele 11

I am attempting to improve my Pre Ele 11 or Pre Pro CS3 movies, but might be interested in using After Effects with them. Can you use any version of AE with PE 11 and Pre Pro CS3?

You will be able to use AE as a standalone program. You will be able to import clips into AE and work on them. And, when finished, export them in a format suitable for import into your Premiere Pro CS3 or Pre 11 project. Try to get the most recent version you can. If you are using avchd footage, you will need to be at least at AE CS4 for native support or convert the footage to something else.
