I'm glad you're finding the book helpful, Ted -- and congratulations! You've found a mistake in the book!

This happens sometimes when we're trying to write the book at the same time as the program is being developed. Occasionally something changes at the last minute.

Vibrance is no longer a Video Effect. It's located on the Adjustments panel, in the Color adjustments, to the right of Hue, Saturation and Lightness. You'll find more information on it on page 107.

And, yes, we'll be correcting the reference to AutoTone and Vibrance soon and removing it from future printings.

It looks like the "Auto Tone" effect has been replaced by an "auto fix" check box in the "Lighting" adjustment.
