Quick questions before I download this tonight at home: does it still ship with a demo of Quick Tracks? If not, is there any way of salvaging my former demo of SmartSound to use in PREL 11? (There were demos in v9 and v4 that I fell in love with.)

Should I uninstall my version of PREL 9 first?

Chuck, I see in the Muvipix store that there is a separate Amazon link for Premiere Elements 11 but not for just Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks Bob :)

Gerry, the download should still include the SmartSound plugin.
If you have problems you should be able to download the plugin from here

And the answer to your last question is no, there's no need to uninstall PrEl 9.

When I find, after downloading the trial versions, that I really like a particular version the way I do PRE4, PRE7, PSE7 and PSE11, then I prefer to pay the extra $20 for the shrink-wrapped DVDs.

I think it has something to do with the fact that, when one discovers a treasure, one wants to actually hold it in one's hands.

Or, perhaps to open the package reminds me of :c2:

I'm the same way George - given a choice I'll always take a disc. And if it's only available in download the first thing I do is burn it to disc.

Dave, if one pays to download, say, PSE11, then Adobe offers the opportunity to save the file for subsequent burning?

The reason I ask is that I did not see any such opporunity to save the trial.

I've never gotten any of the downloads from Adobe. I've always waited for one of those great deals that come along later, like around Christmas, and purchase the packaged version. However, if it's like most downloaded software you should be able to just burn the installation file to disc. You'll find the file in the Downloads folder, or wherever you've specified that it be saved. I've done this with a lot of downloaded software...DVDAS comes to mind.

Interesting!

I don't recall being asked where to save any file after I clicked Download on Adobe's web site, but when I looked in my Downloads folder the .exe and other files were there.
