Vegas question

Postby hpharley90 » Thu Oct 21, 2010 4:45 pm

On my Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0 I have 5 tabs for the Project Media, Explore, Transitions,Video FX and Media Generators.

The default puts the tabs at the bottom of windows. When I tried to see if I can move the panels like I can in Premiere Elements 2.0 I moved the tabs to the top of the window. I like them there better than at the bottom. :)
The problem is I don't know how I got them to move.
I want to do the same thing in DVD Architect but I don't have a clue.

Can a Vegas user explain to me how they move? :-D

With the Options menu open select Preferences but before clicking press the Shift key. That will bring up an extra tab named Internal. Select Internal and type into the box at the bottom, "frame dock," which will select the option "Frame Dock at the Top." In the corresponding Value column type in FALSE, then click the Apply button. Instantly, you will have your timeline on the top of the interface.

As for getting the tabs to appear on the top of those panels, you will have to paw through all the options yourself. I like them fine where they are.

Thanks Ken. How do you find out that shift key option? Incredible!
My time line is fine where it is.

On the internal tab there are many field names.
Complicated to me.
Also the Value and Default columns I don't understand.
I will be looking at it though. :-D
Thanks
Richard
