Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 splittingWhen you import video the audio comes with it. In the timeline mode they're lined up with the video on top and sound right below it. Anybody know of a way to delete the video or the audio separately? I just wanted the audio of a clip and the video just seems to be in the way. And for most videos I'm working with, I don't want the audio at all, so I was just wondering if there was a way I could separate the audio and video and delete one. The manual is not much help! Thanks!!
Re: Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 splittingHi Orrickster, Welcome to Muvipix
In Premiere Elements you only have to right click on the clip and select Delete Audio or Delete Video. I wonder if it is that easy in Magix? Something to check until the Magix folks stop by to answer your question. 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
Re: Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 splittingThere is an ungroup icon (looks like a broken chain) above the timeline to the right. Select your clip, ungroup it and delete the audio or video.

Re: Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 splittingI remember back in the good old days of DOS (maybe it still exists) there was a spreadsheet program called Quatro Pro. It had a menu selection that let the program emulate Lotus 123. Wouldn't that be a neat thing for a program like Magix to have. Wow, one click and it has a Premiere Elements front end.
ASRock Z68 Extreme 4 Gen/3 motherboard. Core i7 2600 and 16 gigs of ddr3. SSD Crucial boot drive, GTX750 Ti video card. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Re: Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 splittingQuattro Pro still exists. Corel owns it now and it's part of their WordPerfect Office suite.
