Wow... you had a real blizzard going on there, strong winds by the look and sound of it. Felt sorry for the ducks (?) at the end.

Wow, Chicago had it rough. Looks more like Colorado weather.

Yeah, I think you guys got it even worse than we did, Steve!

It's strange to see Chicago highways completely deserted!

I remember the Chicago snowstorm in 1967, we had a blast and were out of school for almost a week :)
We built some of the best snow forts ever that year.
Looks familiar...

Yeah, it was just crazy.

It's very maddening though. Not that there was all that snow though. The problem is that even today, three days after the storm, there are still many areas where the snow is covering from 1/4 to 3/4 of the right lane. Effectively reducing the number of lanes.

Any street I was on today there were areas like that. And there are many right turn only lanes that were fully blocked by snow. On one street that had two lanes and one in the middle for the turn lane I had to drive in the middle because the normal lane was blocked.

It wasn't in just one or two cities around here. I did a lot of driving today in many areas and every place was like that. It's ridiculous that the local governments are not doing anything about it.

Wow that is bad. This morning I cut the lawn in my shorts and t-shirt. But I did wear a hat so that I did not get sunburned as it was almost 80 this weekend.

SteveG, the Weather Channel requests video from viewers. Some are shown on air and others on their website. Your video would have been a great addition for them. May be a little late now.

I didn't know that but you are probably right. It might be a little late.

Hopefully I won't have another chance at that. Although...it was nice having the day off with my wife.

A few days before that on the Colorado Front Range, I went to my hospital volunteer job (driving the golf cart around the parking lots) in shorts, tee shirt, and a light windbreaker jacket. :dr:
Today it's sunny and 40, tomorrow has 8 inches of snow forecast with sub-zero temps, and the weekend is forecast to be sunny and 50's. I love this weather. :-D

I love Colorado. I have a buddy from high school that moved out to Buena Vista with his wife many years ago. I visited him many times and always loved it out there.
