I am kinda slow.... Artimus Pyle is still very much alive I think that makes him the last one.

Agreed Ed King was a really good guitarist. I did not know he was in Strawberry Alarm Clock when he was just 17.

I did really like Steve Gaines in the band it is just sad he only played a year and a half before his death.

Happy Friday, this reminds me of hanging out with my High School friends. We weren't that good though.

That one sure brought back some memories. I haven't heard that in a long, long time. Pretty much a one-hit wonder.

Those electric pianos had such a unique sound. To me they never sounded like a piano but a cross between a piano and a musicbox.

I just finally got rid of my Fender Rhodes from the 70s a few months ago. It had been sitting in the basement for a long time, untouched in years. Had some guys hauling out a bunch of accumulated stuff and decided that it was time for it to go. One of them asked if he could see if his church might use it. I told him they were welcome to see what they could do with it, although I don't know if it would still be worth messing with. I paid $400 for it brand new. My gosh those things were heavy.

We were just listening a couple of days ago to BTO as we were out running errands. What great old fashioned sing-along rock. So many passings...

And today we receive the news of Gordon Lightfoot, who also has moved on.

He was huge when I was in High School. Simple 'folky' type songs with good lyrics.

Sorry to hear he passed. His voice had such an earthy tone.

One of my all time favorites, If You Could Read My Mind and Carefree Highway are great songs. There is a really good documentary about him.

Wow, that's an old clip !! He has a great voice and what an amazing guitarist. He played on many of the hit songs in the 60's with lots of bands because he knew how to use a capo ! There are a lot of good interviews on YouTube where he tells the whole story, remarkable.

Happy Friday!!!

This is amazing. Posting Instrumental and vocal only versions from a song of one of my top 5 albums. I still listen to it a lot when driving around.
