There's an excellent selection of Burt Bacharach songs on Amazon Music song mostly by artists that made the songs popular. I just said to my Echo, "Alexa, play Burt Bacharach on Amazon Music." Sounds really good with a Home Theater setup with an Echo Sub. There is also a playlist called "Rediscover Burt Bacharach" that has more than 60 songs curated by Amazon. Amazon added a lot more songs than there were yesterday.

"That's What Friends Are For" might bring a tear to your eye. I never knew that was a Burt Bacharach song.

I didn't realize just how far back he goes.

He did write more songs that I was even aware of. They could be simple and sentimental -- but their simplicity also belied a real complexity and depth.

That's one of those songs that was so well done originally that it's hard to hear it done any other way, at least for me.

RIP Wayne Shorter.

I saw Weather Report the same year as this clip when I was at University at the Lyric Theatre in Baltimore. In my top 5 of shows I've seen.

One of my favorites from my jazz fusion era. What great music that tickles the brain cells. Now I’m going to have to download some Weather Report from Apple Music to bring back some of my 70s memories. Rest in peace Wayne.

Dave, my favorite song on that album is 'A Remark You Made'. For some reason it really touches me and makes me misty eyed.

That's a beautiful song, for sure, Ed. Have you ever seen a group of musicians who played together so selflessly? No ego.

Ed King was amazing, so sad. Hard to believe there is only one left.

Hi Sidd, yes I know. Just that I was very impressed with Ed King and besides Ronnie VanZandt he was a key member of that band. Their music did not sound the same before he joined the group or after he left. As guitaritst go I would put him right up there with Terry Kath from Chicago.
