On the Monitor tab it lists your graphic card info and details.

You may have what is called a agp slot. There are some good cards that support the gpu effects. To verify if you have a open slot available and exactly what type of graphics device you can use look under hardware devide manager. Not sure what operating system you are using but you can find it under my computer in windows xp.
