Animation in PE3

I am a very new user. Can someone give me a quick and easy lesson in animating text? To start with, I would just like to add a name and have it move from off the screen and stop on the screen. Thanks.

Hi Pam, Welcome.

Don't forget to mention something about yourself in the Introductions forum :)

You are very fortunate that we have a free tutorial covering just that topic. Go to the Products page and click on Complimentary, watch the two tutorials on Rolling Titles and report back if you have any questions.

There is also a great book called Premiere Elements 2 In A Snap that works very well with version 3. It is written by Steve Grisetti and me, many of the members here would recommend it and assure you of its value. It is for sale here http://www.chuckengels.com/

Regards,
Chuck

And it certainly helps to master keyframing, Pam -- the key to unleashing the power of this program.

Keyframing allows you to customize animation, motion paths and even control effects and sound volume.

Here's my introduction to it -- although the book that Chuck and I wrote for version 2 (most of which still applies) walks you through a number of step by step instructions for using it.
