Vimeo increasing costs

Vimeo is telling creators to suddenly pay thousands of dollars — or leave the platform.

The large fees appear to be for users that sell their video views on Patreon. Using Vimeo to host their videos using "excessive" bandwidth. Hopefully this won't apply to the everyday hobbyist. The past 5 or more years Vimeo has moved towards the professional and not the everyday hobbyist. There was a friendly community and was easy to find videos amongst people you follow. They have rearranged things that gear towards pros and hard to find what was easy before. Getting notifications is hit or miss. I've had comments or someone tries to share their video with me and I receive no notification. Some of the core group I follow there send out thru the messages and not the share button. Even that is hit or miss.
