The Moka Pot - prendiamo un caffè

Postby sidd finch » Wed Mar 31, 2021 11:14 am

Well my exploration into the different forms of coffee delivery systems continues. Inspired by John's prior post about a Moka Pot, I thought it deserved some further investigation. But for me what really brings it all together, is the gift of Steve's awesome voice over talents. It is really a joy to be able to include Steve in the project. And, I think the video is better for it.

Another excellent creation, this was. I could smell it brewing. I've never understood people who don't like coffee. However, my own preferred personal coffee delivery system looks something like this:

Well done guys! How did you get the pot to spin Sidd?

Makes me wish I had claimed my grandfathers pot now.

Thank you Dave and Ed. Having Steve narrate is like having access to someone like Jay O. Sanders the guy from Secrets of the Dead PBS show.

I've never understood people who don't like coffee

Dave I have only read about those people in books .... lol

Ed I found an inexpensive rotating display stand that works really well.

Wow! In Italy one drinks just a small amount of the Moka brewed coffee, having one, maybe two, small espresso cups half filled.

Never seen anyone drink such a large cupful that was shown in the video. Must keep you awake for a fortnight! :exc:

John I should have posted a variation of the warning: "objects in (the) mirror are closer than they appear" to the phrase "objects in (the) video are smaller than they appear" :-D

The cup is from a children's tea set and only hold about 2.5 oz of coffee. Well within the espresso range. Now in my thirst for coffee...... who says we just have to stop at one cup....

Well I am embarrassed... After having Steve graciously give of his time and talent I forgot to add his credit at the end of the video.... my bad.... so updated and problem rectified.

I also tried to be funny with the Acme label of the coffee but found out there really is an acme coffee company.... live and learn. :ha:

John I gotta say thanks for your prior post about your moka pot.

I am giving the Krueg a rest and now I have been enjoying a cup in the morning and can't believe how easy it is to make a cup. Now all that's missing is the olive grove.

So Sidd has thrown me enough voiceover work that it's justified this purchase.

Thanks for making me feel like a real pro!

It has also allowed Steve to purchase this modest summer home on the French Riviera.

You know Dave now that you mention it in Steve's new avatar he is got a pretty nice tan. And I have noticed that in some voiceovers I can hear the sound of lawn mowers (plural)

Thanks Mom, having Steve lend his talents if the coolest. Kind of the icing on the cake for me.

Sidd, because some of the kids use my Amazon account I'm pretty sure I know what I'm getting for Father's Day, the item below and a small hand grinder. I'll try to make a video for you, but it won't be a match for your masterpieces.
