I was inspired by Steve sharing his old gangster movies so I took the old amp out of the closet. While not really a a gunslinger I guess I was more of a 6 stringer... lol. We do share a similar experience of having the audience all leave during a performance.

Marshall the amp that changed the sonic world.... at least for me

You really captured the beauty of that piece, Sidd! Great marriage of sight and sound -- and I love the color scheme too!

And the subtle silhouette dance at the beginning? So understated and yet so cool. How did you do it?

Thank you HP. I really like that Marshall sound as I am guessing you do too. Mine is a 1978 Marshall JMP 2203 100-Watt Guitar Amp Head. Ahh the tone and the crunch. A funny story of how I cam to own it. I was in the local music store and I spotted it standing on its side in this tiny closet of a room. It was the place that repairs were placed for customer pick up. The owner dropped it off for repair and never claimed it. I said I was interested in it so the store owner tried to contact the person who owned it. Since he never returned the calls the owner sold it to me for the cost of the repair which was $100. And the journey began... at least in my head... lol

Thank you Steve. I am really liking that room for recording. It is the same place I recorded the French Press coffee video. That morning sunshine is a wonder with that camera (Sony RX0 II). For the band I found a stock silhouette of a band playing on a green screen. So I chroma keyed out the green and made the band opacity 25%. To represent kind of a shadow to earlier days. The music is from a band called UFO from their live album "Strangers in the Night" recorded live in Chicago. Track is called Doctor Doctor.

I think the pandemic has inspired me to try to capture things I might not have normally recorded. I am contemplating doing a follow up with one of my guitars. An original San Dimas made Charvel Stratocaster

It's not a real Marshall amp. It doesn't go up to 11! :fg:

That's a classic amp Sidd, and still worth a bit of coin. I haven't heard UFO in decades!

John when you need that extra push over the cliff.... His amp was 1 louder. :hyst:

Thanks Ed I checked on price and it is a fair amount but too many memories to sell. All those bands seem like an era so far away from today.

Oh yeah. A classic scene. :TU:

That was VERY nicely done, Sidd, especially that opening. Those Marshalls could sure take a beating, and they did. I once knew a guy who owned a music store. Brings back memories.

Maybe you are all younger than I, but in my day it was Marantz. Saw one advertised at $1000 so they still have some around.

Thanks Dave. I agree they were pretty sturdy. I forgot how heavy these things are. They weigh about 50lbs but man it was just a cool time back then.

Treetops my apologies as I was not clear. Marshall is a guitar musical instrument amplifier, not a stereo amplifier.

That's what I get for not watching the video all the way through. Sorry about that.

I like the tight edit and the color. The silhouettes were a nice touch too!
