What are you cooking for the Super Bowl?

Talk about anything here.

What are you cooking for the Super Bowl?

Postby ed » Sun Feb 07, 2021 1:19 pm

Usually I make a big pot of chili in a dutch oven and slow cook it all afternoon, paired with cast iron skillet Corn bread. We invite the kids over to watch the game.

It's just me and the wife this year so I'm doing something different to suit her tastes. Mediterranean Chickpea soup and a ground turkey (she won't eat red meat) pasta with a garlic yogurt sauce.

What are you making?

We are keeping it small this year too Ed. Chips & dips, spring rolls and I made a turkey based spaghetti sauce that we will heat up and dip. Not too fired up for this year but hoping the commercials provide a spark. This year I kind of feel like Leonard from the big bang.... :ha:

Actually I cooked INSTEAD OF watching the Super Bowl. Roast chicken in our new Air Fryer.

An air fryer...... those look pretty cool. We have been talking about getting one. Seems like a easier way to cook.

The air fryer is popular now. I don't have one. I made lemon chicken spinach orzo soup with bread made in the bread machine. My husband grilled a steak for himself.
