upgrade to PRE21 worth it?

Postby sjf » Sun Nov 22, 2020 12:21 pm

Currently using 2017 iMac with PRE15 which requires High Sierra OS. So besides getting to update to Catalina or now BigSur, any major changes between PRE15 and 21?
If upgrading to PRE21, what happens to works in progress that are in PRE15 - do they transfer over without corruption?
Does PRE21 work well with Big Sur?

You should not open version 15 project files in version 2021. Premiere Elements has not been completely backward compatible and doing so could cause your project files to corrupt.

The main differences between version 15 and version 2021 are the added features. If these are of value to you, it's worth upgrading.

On the upper left of each page you'll find the new feature list for each version:

Thank you for your response, Steve. Can I assume the the Organizer in PRE21 would maintain the links created in Organizer in PRE15? If not, it would be necessary to reload everything!
