Lock Down Again!

Postby TreeTopsRanch » Sat Nov 14, 2020 11:25 am

Gov of Oregon just ordered another lock down. Starting Wed Nov 18th, ALL restaurants take out only. No seating. Thanksgiving family events only allowed 6 people. But that's still better than our Exchange Student from Greece that just emailed us about their lockdown. They can not leave their house unless permitted by some official. They must ask for permission then wait for a text message on their phone allowing one hour out side only to do shopping for food.

I think we'd all better batten down the hatches. We're in for some rough seas.

Most of Europe is in the grip of lockdown. France, Italy, UK and others all have restrictions on "social life".

Here in the UK, pubs (a veritable hub of UK social life) are all closed. All non-essential travel banned. Shops - with the exception of those deemed necessary - all closed. Necessary shops include food, pharmacies and, strangely enough, wine merchants so we can all drink ourselves to death in the comfort of our own homes.

In the UK we don't have to ask for permission to go out (yet) as they do in Greece.

My lockdown is self-imposed. I hate masks; can't breath and my nose, as athletic as it is, runs profusely. I wear the mask when I go to Walley World and the doctor.
