I took off work Friday afternoon and went to Ellicott City MD to take photos. I went into a vinyl record store and they had a bowl of drive pins available for purchase :-D No 45's though.

This are both great ones Vernon. I have some found memories from high school of the Starland Vocal Band's album.

My wife hates this one. Not just because of the music, but she says it's about two horrid people :)

Trivia about Ruperty Holmes: Not only did he write the Pina Colada song but he also wrote "Timothy", the 1960s novelty song about a couple of people trapped in a cave who, uh, get very hungry.

Although I've heard the song many times, this was the first time that I actually listened to the lyrics. :-8
But it does have a happy ending. :)

One of the very first "One hit wonders" 1959's Here comes summer.

And maybe the most famous one hit wonder of all time.....

All good ones Sidd, especially 'Here Comes Summer'. I love that song.

I actually broke lock down (Janice induced) today and went out to shoot a roll of film for one of my old cameras (Canon FTb) that I am trying to fix (will develop the roll tonight - fingers crossed).

I went to one of my go-to thrift stores for the first time in almost a year, and picked up The Hughes Corporation 'Rock the Boat' and The Archies 'Sugar, Sugar' 45's. There was probably more one hit wonders to get, but I didn't want to stay in the store too long.

Ed The photos might make a nice nostalgic "pandemic" collection. Will you develop them in beer? Hope you are all safe as this thing seems to be getting much worse. In CA we just got the notice that once ICU beds go under 15% capacity we go into lockdown again. Expectation in Mid December for that to happen..... I hope the music at least brings some joy.

and here's a good one.

We have another spike going here Sidd, so we are back to phase 1 :(

I think I repaired my old camera, it's a very good one. Here's a Covid photo I took on the test role on Thursday. I would find it strange to dine out in a plastic bubble.

We're seeing lots of plastic bubbles here in the chilly Midwest, ed. They look kind of pretty at night when they're all lit up!

Ed it looks like a 100 year old photo that plastic bubbles got transported to.

I think My developer is a little tired Sidd, it's 4 months past date. Time to break out a new bottle. It does look old timey, this camera actually has a great lens.

I think the bubbles are distopian Steve. I did see a really cool setup with 8 foot rectangles, with fake flames inside, on each side of dinning tables. I wanted to take a photo of a women eating between them but she did not seem friendly so I walked on.
